Is-sinjal għal ORS POLARI għandu żewġ partijiet. (jew i) L-ewwel parti magħmula mis-sinjal għal ORS. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 kkurvat ma’ l-għoli ta’ l-ispalla imma jintefgħu ‘l quddiem. Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jiġi wara s-sinjal ta’ ORS POLARI biex jirreferi għall-ferħ. Għal ORS POLARI żgħir jew kbir, is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR jew is-sinjal għal KBIR isir miż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ Ċ iħarsu lejn xulxin. Id-distanza bejniethom tindika l-kobor ta’ l-ors. The sign for POLAR BEAR is made up of two parts. (jew i) The first part is the sign for BEAR, that is, both hands take the shape of a curved 5 at shoulder level but extending forward with the arms in almost vertical position and with palms facing outwards. (jew ii) The second part is the sign for SNOW. Both hands take the shape of F but with the the thumb and index fingers forming the shape for O, with palms facing outwards. The hands move down in a zigzag pattern.
The signs for BABY or for SMALL are used after the sign for POLAR BEAR to refer to a cub. To refer to a small or large bear, the sign for SMALL or the sign for BIG are made with two hands in the shape of Ċ, palms facing each other, after the sign for POLAR BEAR. The distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the polar bear.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for POLAR BEAR to express the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands in the shape of curved V are placed at various points in the signing space as though several polar bears were actually being put into that space.
When the noun POLAR BEAR is the subject of a verb of movement the hand in the shape of curved V or of curved 5 is used as the classifier, moving according to the action indicated by the verb.
